Bonded to the Dragon Lick of Fire Dragon Lovers Book 3 eBook Kara Lockharte Reviews

  • Wow! What a great read! This book is different than the previous books, but just as good. The submersion you usually feel when reading a great story is intensified with this book. Val’s pain becomes your own, along with her confusion, sadness, friendship, joy and love. It may take her and Grant a while to get their act together and find the path to their HEA, but when they do the results are explosive. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
  • Bonded to the Dragon is a fantastic book written by Kara Lockharte. I have now followed this author and read pretty much all of her books, and these just keep getting better and better. This one is probably my favorite one of all her books and I am not sure how to explain it, but I will try.

The author developed and imaginative book that is focusing on the story of Grant and Val. There are some nice twists and I really had a difficult time putting this book down! This book was truly captivating and had me totally enthralled in the story. The pace of the book was just plain perfect! There was always something happening leaving you never bored. The story never dragged out nor did the author ever rushed you through it which are both very important to me.

Val is an adorable character who you can't help but love. She got the shortest end of the stick that I have read in some time and I hurt for her while reading her story. As you read along you can see her grow and push through her pain. Even though she went through pretty much hell, she somehow still managed to come through this a good person, and does the right things because her heart is in the right place, and this is the main reason why I enjoyed this book so much. This character pretty much made this book into what it is and seeing her transformation is amazing!

But let's not forget about Grant, who is another important part of this book. He is a strong alpha male, no doubt about it, but even so he has a big heart and is not afraid to show it, in his own alpha male way that is of course. He is her perfect match and their developing relationship is beautiful to follow.

Of course this book is not just about their budding romance but also has a greater picture story that is intriguing. In my eyes this book pulls all the right strings, but especially the ones to the heart which made this such a fantastic read. I for one loved it and can only highly recommend it to fellow lovers of the paranormal. Yes this one focuses a lot on the romance between the main characters, but there is so much character development going on and of course the story of the Devourer we should not forget, that this book really has so much to offer to everyone. Give it a try, you won't regret it especially if you could use a good romance.
  • A stand alone book with an over the top hot dragon shifter and a heroine who must overcome a fair amount of baggage from her previous life. A standalone but with an overall ongoing story within the series.
The chemistry is great between Grant and Val, who are perfect for each other. The dialogue and banter between the two was very well done and the story was in constant motion as they were continually faced with various obstacles, physical, magical and psychological . We again had plenty of action with monsters, spirts, magic, dimensional elements and did I mention Hot Dragon Shifters. If you have read any other of the books you will be able to catch up with Hunter too. Val had a tough go when growing up and felt that since she had been dealt a bad hand she would never be able to be a better person (or magical creature). What she does not realize is that she does really have choices and that is what would define her. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
  • This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Bonded To The Dragon by Kara Lockharte is Book Three in the Lick of Fire series. I dropped into this series with this book and despite there being spoilers, it was relatively easy to follow the thread. And while I really enjoyed Grant and Val's story, I think the read would definitely have been enhanced by reading the books in series order. There is some resolution to the Grant and Val storyline, but I got the feeling that there is more yet to come for them. Good action, drama, sexy dragons and a little bit of darkness set an uneven pace that seems to fit the story. A good read that made me want to go back and read the first two books.

This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy obtained through Booksprout.
